Family Photoshoot Dos x Don'ts!

First things first I want to thank you for checking out the new #HighlightHaven blog! I will begin to write these often to connect and give you guys more insight on what goes on in a photographer lens (or at least mine!). I'll dive right in...

FAMILY PHOTO SESSION RULES

1. ​Matching isn't the cool thing to do in 2017! Jazz up the shoot a little by choosing colors that complement each other but still stand out from the chosen background of the shoot.
2. Since you will be posting these photos as art in your home, you should check out the furniture and decor you already have. Wear colors that will fit well with the scheme you already have going at home.
3. Textures are more desired than patterns or "screen tees". Too many stripes in a photo can be distracting from the intended focal point and take away from it. The same can be said about a Ninja Turtle or Frozen shirt.
4. Plan ahead once you know when your session date is. Go ahead and buy the outfits you are going to need so you don't end up in that situation of not having what you need at game time! We have all experienced it and avoiding it is a huge stress reliever.
5. Lastly, avoid all white or all black in a photo if possible. Of course, if this is a theme you are going for make it happen. If it is only a choice, look for another combination. For both, changing the textures or colors of an article if clothing will really help make the picture pop and make the photographers job a lot easier!
